The Supreme Council for Youth is an advisory body to the President of the Republic, enjoying legal personality and financial independence. The Council presents opinions, recommendations and suggestions on issues related to the needs of youth and their prosperity in the economic, social, cultural and sports fields. It contributes to promoting national values, national conscience, civic sense and social solidarity among youth. It also participates in designing the national youth plan as well as policies, strategies, programmes and public agencies related to youth, and encourages them to participate in public and political life while involving them in development in all its dimensions.
SERVICES
In order to achieve its objectives, the Council has specialized committees, each consisting of thirty (30) to forty-three (43) members :

– Employment, Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Knowledge Economy Committee
– Citizenship, Volunteering, Associative Life and Youth Participation in Public Life Committee
– Culture, Sports, Entertainment, Tourism and Youth Mobility Committee
– Media and Communication Committee
– Environment and Sustainable Development Committee
– Social, Solidarity and Youth Protection from Social Evils Committee
– Cooperation and International Relations Committee
